  • Men are not heroes because they respect women.
  • Men are not heroes because they help to protect women.
All of that is not heroic. Its the absolute baseline minimum standard. Its not to be congratulated but accepted. And should be taken for granted.
 
Men are perhaps heroes (to other men) when they are brave enough to be accountable for what they are doing wrong and they do something about it.
 
Men are pehaps heroes (to other men) when they are brave enough to step up to their good mates and say "that's not OK"
 
Men are pehaps heroes (to other men) when they not only say that but do something about it.
 
Men are perhaps heroes (to other men) for standing up to making sure the baseline and minimum standard is met amongst others.
 
That still doesn't make you a hero to women and nor should it. But it should make you a hero and mentor to men who struggle with that.
 
Break the "Men's Club". And I defy you to tell me that you are not better for it.
