In 2016, as a part of the Internet Australia team, we presented to the National Broadband Network Select Committee in Canberra, with a host of other experts and advocates pushing hard to stick to the original NBN plan. It was hard work.
NBN - the bottleneck is no longer the network.

One thing that alwsys stuck with me was something that my friend colleague and current Internet Australia President, Dr Paul Brooks said in answer to a question from Scott Ludlum:
"Broadband to a house is whatever speed you need so your link to your house is not the bottleneck.'
With the NBN fibre/Upgrades that have occurred recently, for an increasing number of users, that has finally become the case.
This was always going to be a long journey, made longer by the expensive diversion that the Government of the day made back then, from the original plan, but we are finally back on track.
But the task is by nowhere near finished. Now for the rest of the country on fixed wireless especially in Central Australia.
